Crosslin & Associates is pleased to announce that Shane Callahan, Director of Network Security and Information Technology, has passed the Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator exam and now is CHFI-certified.  Callahan is a leader on our computer forensics team and this certification enhances the strength and capability of our already stellar team of forensics experts.

Computer hacking forensic investigation is the process of detecting hacking attacks, misconduct or other malicious activity and properly extracting evidence to report the crime and conduct audits to prevent future attacks.  In addition to this service, our forensics team assists clients with:

  • Collecting and preserving electronically stored information
  • Searching large email databases by keyword, date or other metrics and providing an easy to use format for review.
  • Recovering deleted documents and uncovering internet activity (Instant Messenger, MySpace, Gmail, etc.)
  • e-Discovery consulting to include identifying known system and user files, as well as duplicate files, to limit and expedite document review
  • Security or forensic audits to mitigate future risk and assure compliance to HIPAA, GBL, PCI and other security standards.

Our computer forensics team also works closely with our Valuation and Litigation Support Department on projects involving fraud investigation, the growing attorney needs for e-Discovery and compliance with information technology needs to support federal, business, criminal and family law.

Callahan also is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.  To reach our Forensics Security team, please call (615) 320-5500 or e-mail Shane at
