NewsroomTennessee SalesTax Free WeekendAug 5, 2009
With back to school around the corner, Tennesseans will be able to enjoy another sales tax holiday this weekend, which begins Friday, August 7 at 12:01 a.m. and ends Sunday, August 9 at 11:59 p.m. Over this weekend, consumers will not pay state or local sales tax on select clothing with a price of $100 or less per item, school and art supplies with a price of $100 or less per item, and computers with a price of $1,500 or less. Although the holiday does provide savings for back-to-school purchases, anyone can take advantage of the savings offered throughout the weekend.

As always, feel free to contact the Crosslin & Associates tax team with any questions you may have regarding the tax holiday or any other matter. We appreciate your business.
